    WTB: Superbike takeoffs

Yeah I know.. wrong forum. But I figured if anyone would have them it'd be this crew. I'd like to try a set of superbike slicks in practice during the next race weekend on the SV. 120 front and 160 rear. What-choo folks have for takeoffs that still have some life left in them? I'd like to stick with Pirelli if possible but will certainly try other brands too.

    Thanks,
    Fitz

I have a pretty good 160 rear, SOFT compound. Have two 120 fronts but they are 16.5"....

$75 for the rear tyre? Can post up a pic in a few if you want. Very edge is chewed up from my motard chain rubbing on it but it honestly doesn't effect traction at all. Trust me I know

Thanks Alex I'll keep it in mind. Looking for a set front and rear if possible.

Go buy your tire vendors garage at the next race weekend, all brands will be different. If you're on pirelli get a set of pirelli slicks. Lots of people let them go very early with plenty of life left in them (ask me how I know), Just ask the BoMo guys to keep an eye open for one of their riders changing out a decent pair.

It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?

Fuck I just don't want/need this rear in my garage. $50!!

Twist my arm. I'll take it. No need to send pics. I know you won't put me on anything unsafe. I'll snag it next Friday morning at NHMS hopefully before things get too hectic for you?

My tire vendor is used to me buying 275/40/17 tires 8-12 at a time; and those won't fit on the bike. I haven't worked the angle with a tire vendor at the track yet. That and I've always run takeoffs. Hard to justify new rubber when you're running my slow a$$ times.

    Thanks,
    Fitz

No need to work and angle. Go over to the Boston Moto Pirelli trailer next weekend and introduce yourself. They are great guys and all 4 owners are active members on here. They will surely recognize you.

Isn't that nice of Dunlop for you!

I'm talking about the price Take-Offs go for online and from 3rd parties, not what Dunlop was giving you at the track because they didn't want to dispose of the old tires themselves and deal with the disposal fee.

You are the fast guy on the #121 Duck. I was trying to figure out who you were corner working. You gave a lot of people headaches with that 1000. Keep it up.

Got some Bridgestone’s. Probably will not have the tires up until the end of May race.

It is nice of dunlop for me, and nice of any of the other tire vendors to do for anyone else that asks, such as someone that's thinking about buying a set of slicks and wants to try them out first.
