    Fork Seals

I have an issue that I hope someone can help with. My teammate Scott and I are attempting to change some stuff over in the forks of my 96' YZF600r. I was able to loosen the bolt that is on the underside of the fork tube on one side, but not the other. This bolt goes straight up into the internal assembly from underneath. Once you remove the axle and the two axle bolts, you can come from underneath and loosen them. It almost sounds like something is spinning inside and therefore the bolt will not loosen and come out. Can anyone give me an idea of how to address this issue other than hitting it with an impact wrench? Thanks in advance to all who offer advice.

My advice - send it to GMD and let the pro fuck with it.

    Fork Seals

    Kip,

Hey thanks for the advice. I appreciate it. I know the guys at computrak, and They want me to try my hardest to figure it out. I am used to working on bikes, but have not yet done a full fork job. If you or anyone have any advice on how I can get that damn bolt out, let me know. I am the type of guy that likes to know my bike inside out.

    Check this website out:

The procedure is written for a FZR600 but the issue about removing the spinning bolt will apply to your bike as well.
