    Oil question

    (I know, I know)
So I've had semi-synthetic in the RMZ450 since I bought it, and thats what was in it before. Is there any advantage to keeping semi-syn since its a fucking pain to find, or is full synthetic fine as well.
(I know this is going to open a shitshow) Im sure its fine, but dunno if theres a reason semi-synthetic was used.

    Re: Oil question

no issue switching to a full synthetic. (other than cost)

    OR

If you like, I can just bring you a case of semi-synthetic oil and then you won't have a problem finding it.

    Re: Oil question

I don't think it would be a problem, but I'd ask Eric. He has access to quite a bit of experience with race engines at work, so he may have a specific reason for running semi-syn.

Eff running synthetic. Especially on a motard that you need to change every race weekend if you want to own it for more than a season.

Get the regular old MC oil and run it.

Theres a lot of truth behind this - if you're changing it every weekend it's not in there long enough to break down. Grab a good brand motorcycle oil (dyno, semi, full synth) whatever, and run it. The important thing to do is examine it (and the filter) when you change it to look for problems.
