I put the bike up on a rear stand tonight to clean and lube the chain. While spinning the rear, I noticed that the bead on the tire next to the rim wanders toward and away from the rim noticeably. It even follows the way I've worn them at the strips. However, the rim itself appears to be good - no wobble, waves, or dents.
WTF oh wise conglomeration of two wheeled fiends?
Is this normal (to a degree) or is/was this tire seated wrong? I've put about 1200 miles on it.
Duct tape is like "The Force". It has a light side and a dark side, and it holds the universe together.
Broken bead?
If loud pipes save lives, imagine what learning to ride would do.
sounds like the bead is not seated properly...
go to a gas station, deflate the tire completely, take valve out of stem, inflate to 65+psi, watch for problem area.
if it's seated properly, re-install valve and re-inflate to desired pressure.
