"Timing Retard Eliminator"... many Suzuki's have an ECU with two maps, one of which retards the timing slightly in the lower (first three?) gears.... installing a TRE removes this by tricking the ecu into thinking it's always in 5th gear.

6th gear uses the 5th gear map. newer gixxers with built in gear indicators will constantly display 5 if you have ivan's or a custom TRE

The TRE made a pretty nice difference in how my SV rode. The throttle felt a lot smoother.

All depends on if you use a 6.9 k/ohm resistor, or a 15 k/ohm
Busa's and 1k's map the speed limiter in 6th, so you must use the 6.9 to bypass it (5th). All others that aren't speed limited will work with the 15 k/ohm (6th gear).
