Wrecking clutch by not using it?

Can someone explain to me how you ruin a clutch by not using it? Is this for just when your slamming it in gear in races or through just not using a clutch period?

I tend not to use a clutch once in second gear and higher, but it usually is just because of the thought of using it takes the life out of it, plus lazyiness!

Wrecking clutch by not using it?

I've never heard of shifting without the clutch messing up the *clutch* before. I know people that only use the clutch to get it off the line and then it's just mashing it into gear after that, and they don't have any issues at all. Personally, I'll keep on using the clutch.

I found out the answer to my question this weekend. Thanks Degsy. Now I know what happens. Hope the new clutch works for ya today.

Also I hope the gas man has learned how to fill your tank properly.
