I consider a reg a title in my world. One allows me to get the other.
I'm always wondered how deep VT looked when registering an old vehicle. Like, can you buy an old vehicle with a lien on it and register it VT in your name and basically ignore the old lien? Or if something is stolen and you try to register it in VT?
I can't speak to how deep VT digs, but I do know registering anything that's 15 years old or more is super easy. All you need is a bill of sale signed by the seller and buyer, VIN number, mileage, date of purchase, and purchase price.
I can tell you that I have registered a vehicle with a bill of sale that had been written on a napkin. So take that for whatever it's worth.
I've done VT several times now. It's my main way of importing vehicles from Europe and Japan now. I've even done bill or sales in front of the teller and had it been accepted. That being said I've always known the history of every vehicle. I never tried one that had a broken chain of ownership or may have been a recovered theft or salvage title.
This one has been making the rounds on the Facebook the past couple day

Apparently the coolant that Ducati was using back then corrodes the shit out of the engines, so this engine is likely toast before it ever even ridden
Are they shipped wet? I would think this would be in someone's living room, museum or a shop display. Can't imagine this as a daily rider or track mule.Apparently the coolant that Ducati was using back then corrodes the shit out of the engines, so this engine is likely toast before it ever even ridden
Looks like he has all the street gear for it.

How 'bout a 907ie? A much undervalued Ducati IMO. This one looks top notch.

I've owned a couple of these, bought one new, and one used. Lemme know if you want some personal views. Overall I like the 907. More sport-touring than superbike. I did some long trips on mine.* Unique, much loved by many, denigrated by some. The ad calls it a "Paso" (for Renzo Pasolini**) but that refers to the earlier 750 versions.
