I want a light fast bike

I'm interested in any bike you have that would be under 400lbs and over 100hp and somewhat comefortable. Bikes I've been eyeing are 2003-2005 r6 or R6S, 2001+gsxr 750, zx636, daytona 675, street triple 675, possibly an '04+ sv650 or monster 696. PM me with what you got.

Re: I want a light fast bike

I dont think any of those bikes are REALLY under 400# wet...

and "light fast" is theoretically possible, might i suggest a delorean with an aftermarket flux capacitor.

oh and your assumption that it has to be over 100hp to be fast is quite wrong...

I have a Street Triple R and am pretty happy with the power to weight ratio. As others have said, it's not the raw HP number you should be concerned with, but rather the way in which the power is delivered. Try looking more for flat torque curves more than peaky ones. Also a well balanced bike is better than a track ready street bike.

all the current middleweights are just over 400lbs and over 100hp. so really you gotta get a little more specific with what you want.

Re: I want a light fast bike

    Guess there's nothing wrong with an 03 zx6r, just don't want a modern one or a zx6rr.

You don't need 100hp to be fast, but it does make it easier.. .. I could probably be convinced to purchase an SV650 or Monster 696 if the right deal came along. But wouldn't go so far as to go to an overweight ninja 650 or fz6, or under 75hp GS500 or Ninja 500 or 250. Just my preference.

To be more specific I want a fast light bike that is also decently comfortable. The only bike that is on my list that I haven't tried out yet might be the Daytona 675 which may be too uncomfortable for me. I've deffinately ruled out the newer zx6r's(07+) and the newer R6's(06+).

Under 400lbs dry will fit the bill.

You're current ride is an '03 Daytona, correct? I'm not seeing how your current ride is not already meeting your demands. Sure it's 20lbs over the weight limit but according to specs it is also 47hp over as well.

I was kinda kidding, 03 and 04 zx6r's are the same bike but with different colors. I'm not sure what mine weighs as you can never believe anything other than a scale but I ditched the stock exhaust so she lost a whopping 5 pounds maybe but puts down 104 to the rear and can be found for a good price.

Re: I want a light fast bike

My '03 triumph weighed around 475lb wet and it was too tall and top heavy for me. It tracked solid and was a decent handling bike, but I wanted something more nimble.

Ended up getting a '07 gsxr 750. It's got almost the same crank HP(not nearly as much torque or as nice a curve though) as the triumph but it's like 60lbs lighter and lower to the ground. The seat is also more comfortable than the '03 triumph. The newer speeds look really comfortable, the guy I bought the 750 from had a new speed triple(nice bike), but those are alittle out of my price range.

I hate you for posting that. Such an amazing looking bike. And the worst part is I know it performs just as good or better than it looks.

LOL, once he starts with a light bike with nice power he will never want to ride a fat bike again. Get an rz350, mod it and hang on! You will never look back... Seriously, check them out!

I don't have that kind of $$$ to spend on a bike I would only ride short distances. I do have my own 2 stroke street legal bike in the works though...
