    1999 Suzuki GSX600F Katana 600 Parts Bike

Up for sale is a non-running motorcycle. Its been sitting for a year and hasn't been started, dead battery. The previous owner stated that the bike was running rough and it has a carb problem, not sync'd or air/fuel mixture incorrect. The bike has some rust on it. The exhaust is not stock. The bike has been painted from red to gray. Many great parts on the bike to include the calipers, wheel, carbs, engine parts, turn signals, swing arm, frame, instruments, etc. It has a clear Texas Title and I will be receiving it on Tuesday from the previous owner. Looking to get rid of the whole bike for $600 OBO, not ready to start parting it out just yet.

Not sure what parts fit other bikes or model years, you should look that up yourself.

I am in Waterford CT. Will not ship, no checks and scammers. Bring CASH!

That doesn't look too bad, but I hate the non running ads, simply because I've had many friends who ended up with junk because so much was missing or..a completely bad engine..

The cafe/bobber thing is really up to you as to how far you want to go. For my little xj i sawed off about 1ft from the rear, made a single seat pan and leathered it, straight bars, eliminated most controls or moved them so it clean and updated the brakes and stuff. It was cheap and fairly easy. Now my neighbor took an almost mint xs650 and hard tailed, cut the back bone and lowered it and did all sorts of crazy crap.
The trick to doing it is the bike has to look right to begin with. My xj has a very high front and a low back so it would look like crap as a cafe. An old rd350 is pretty much level and they look great as a cafe but crappy as a bobber. Those old honda cbs look best as a cafe.

KLR is a little too tall looking for me.. just want to lean towards the cafe/streetfighter look.

I missed out on a couple other deals.. passed on a few that were a total wreck. Right now I'm looking at some VFR's still and half considering the older cb350/cb900 bikes. I'm not 100% sure I want to go with the straight seat/cafe racer deal yet..

Excellent...I'll pick his brain when something doesn't work, going to register on kawuforums later to see if I can find any good tutorials or parts... Just found out yesterday that there are two models of headlight styles, I thought it might have been a wrong model. Got the title and its just signed over from the previous owner from 2001! This thing had been sitting since then unregistered!

Almost too excited thinking up things to do.. but I realize first things first.. gotta get it running and safe, then we can worry about the wild to mild street fighter path...

Pay attention to the alt and waterpump. very, very hard to come by if they let go. usually you can catch them before they go if your careful.

Ya those 89 and 90 zx7's are beautiful but so hard to find parts for now. Your going to end up hoarding parts if you enjoy the bikes like i did.
