    WTB fork upgrade for a 1993 f2

hey, looking for options to upgrade the front end on my f2 track bike. i believe that would mean f3 forks, calipers, wheel, maybe triples, but im open to any better solutions as well (any inverted front ends work?). ultimately i wanna keep things pretty cheap cause im trying to save money for more track time too...

also looking for race plastics/fiberglass too, dont have to be perfect...mine are pretty rough and have been repaired too many times, might not survive past another lowside. tail isnt too important, but front and sides are needed.

Hey bud... I've got a bunch of F2 plastics from my streetfighter build left over I don't need anymore... (same year too!)

Some are a little scrapped up but still work just fine... tail sections are pretty nice though...

if your interested I can have pics up tomorrow.

Yep. Same thing we do on Hawks. I would get some measurements to make sure the forks are close to the same length and be aware of your rake/trail.

    okey dokie...

I have... both rear tail fairings with center piece... both side fairings WITH inners fully intact... the right side is the more busted up one... there is one mounting point in the center which is broken but the pieces could easily be glued. Left side is in great condition...

Rear hugger in very good condition...

    fuse box cover...

I also have the rear tail light assembly and the small sub-frame for that peice if you need it.

    Heres the pics...

    Rear Hugger

    Center tail piece

    Fuse box cover

    Tail fairings

    Side fairings

    the only broken mounting hole...

this was the biggest crack... It doesn't go to the mounting hole but I still used some ABS epoxy on the back and gobbed it on there to make it strong again....

    inner fairings

If your interested shoot me a PM

F3 forks will slide right in. the wheel, brakes and triples are all the same. the only difference between the F2 and F3 forks was the F3 forks were fully adjustable.

sorry bud.. thats not quite correct.... won't happen unless you swap out everything from the F3... brakes and wheels included... the only thing thats the same is the triple trees and upper fork tubes...

F2 rotors are 296mm and are not floating... they bolted directly to the rim...

F3 rotors are 310 and are floating... which means the rim is designed completely different and the caliper mounting points are moved farther up the forks.

if you wanted to keep the same F2 wheels and brakes... you can swap out the internals from the F3 to keep the F2 fork lowers.

Re: WTB fork upgrade for a 1993 f2

If I were to go through the trouble I would want to gain the better F3 brakes as well. Also considering just having my current forks rebuilt for my weight and calling it good...I'm only planning on keeping the bike through this summer and buying another track bike in the winter.

Ultimately I hope to find a good deal on a swap that will be worthwhile.

    Wirelessly posted (Instinct: Mozilla/4.1 (U; BREW 3.1.5; en-US; Teleca/Q05A/INT))

my bad. when i swapped mine i did do the WHOLE front end purely for cosmetic reasons so i was unaware of the rotor change
