Does anyone know where I can go check out Bell helmets in New Hampshire or Massachusetts?
I tried navigating Bell's website to find dealers but half the places I called said they can order me one but don't carry any inventory and the other half said they do not sell Bell helmets.
Thanks for any leads.
GBM Arlington/Cambridge stocked them 1.5 years ago. I suspect they still do. Bought one and it is the most comfortable helmet I have had to date. YMMV.
Arrows will not pass tech.
Just sayin'
What does pass tech mean?
it means that you wont be allowed to use it on a racetrack since it is only DOT rated.
Bumping this since I'm now in the market for a Bell Helmet. GBM the only one around Boston still?
GBM doesn't carry Bell anymore.
We care Bell helmets in stock. Any model your looking for? I can see if we have it in stock

I'm primarily looking at a Vortex Patriot as this will be used 100% as a street helmet. Would also like the transitions photochromic lens. I have a Star for the track, so I'd like to see whether or not I'd be disappointed stepping down a bit. I imagine it will be lightyears ahead of my 5+ year old Scorpion exo1000 street helmet it will be replacing

I have that shield on an RS-1. It's awesome
you will hate the vortex after stepping down from a star

Have you tried the vortex or are you just saying that based on speculation? I have a 5+ year old scorpion helmet that is no star but has been just fine for my street use. I picture the vortex being much better than the old scorpion and would like to avoid paying big $$$ for a street helmet that gets carried around, left on the bike when parked, etc.
not speculating. i own one. used it for like 2 months and is now not even worn by my gf on rides. its big, and heavy. over all just not impressed by it. it looks great in pictures but i got sick of it quick.

Bought a leftover RS-1 from motorcyclecloseouts.com for $200 last month. I love this helmet.

Hmm... If the Vortex isn't that great then I might just transition my current Star to street use and pick up a new Star or RS-1 when I actually start going to the track again. Thanks guys. All I need now is a transitions lens
The RS-1 is an appropriate step down from the Star. Basically the same comfort/fit/quality, just a little heavier with worse ventilation. FWIW the new Bell line (2013+) fits MUCH more snug than the helmets made prior to 2012. I would recommend getting a new Bell for track use and using your Star for the street. The Vortex, RS-1, and Star are all Snell, so you will be fine using any of those at the track.
