Finally I have gotten my sv650! Danno was kind enough to help me get it from Watertown to Melrose today. Its is a Blue 2005 Suzuki SV650 with 8,076 miles on it. I am having a bit of trouble getting it on the road though. I made a few stupid rookie mistakeswhen getting rid of my old bike, and the person I bought the bike from made a mistake on the title when he signed it over to me!
So mostly I am waiting on him, then I can go to the RMV, and be all set except for an inspection.
I have a bunch of pictures to post of it, but I can't find the cable that plugs into the computer, for the camera I used to take them.![]()

We are going to have to go for a ride soon on our newly-acquired SV's!
Congrats. What was the mistake on the title? Did he check the box on the back that basically states the odo has since hit 100k miles and rolled back? The seller I just bought my bike from did that.. fortunately he had another title to sign over.
Forget the hmm.. It's gone.
Well my first orders of business I have to do to my bike are replace the handle bars, and the exahaust! The previous owner put on and extremely loud Carbon Fiber M4 slip-on muffler.
I am looking for any tips on any good mufflers out there that aren't really loud. Best I have come up with so far is keep the stock one on... Well thats out of the question for me now.
The handle bars a little screwy, I would love to replace them back to stock, and maybe get the stock parts for the mirrors as well.

I believe the one on there is a blacked-out micron slip-on. It has a grunt to it, but I do not believe it is too loud with a helmet.
Sean gave me the stock bars, which I believe are silver.
I have no problem letting you have them, and maybe trading them for the muffler and some cash once you get around to finding another one..maybe you want my current one even..
You probably have to drop by sometime to hear it.

I may have an exhaust picked out. This is of course only after about 3 days of soft looking. Does anyone here have any comment on the "Scorpion Street Extreme Muffler"? In the product details it says it includes a removeable dB killer, of course I would be leaving it in hah.

Noob here <-- This guy right here. Right so I don't know how to embed a youtube vid into a post so here is the link to the muffler I like the best so far, but you can't really get a feel for the sound of anything through the crap quality of youtube.

2005 SV650
I like the sound of it. I think I'm going to get the little IXIL slip on (L2X DUAL HYPERLOW SYSTEM). It's tiny, makes it sound a little more aggressive and I wont' have to worry about inspection time!Plus the sound is fine for me.

Congrats man....get some pix up when you can.
I had a 04' SV650s w/the full Jardine system on it.....loved it. Nothing
like the sound of a twin.

Great pic KillBill!
Thanks Kenn!
Looking at your SV makes me think I can't wait to get my fender kit from EVO

The can on there is indeed a Micron pipe (courtesy of Mr. SVRACER) which I cleaned up and repacked. The mid pipe is from the old Viper pipe I used to use. With a fresh repack the Micron can is VERY quiet. Over time it got to the level it is now (which I found to be very pleasant).
Stock bars are chroooooome baby (blech)
Congrats man!! I love my SV, have fun with it be safe! see you around hopefully
