well glad to hear that you are ok. I kno exactly what you are talkin about living in VT and all. We get tourists like FL gets tourists. It's rediculous what they will do because they don't know where they are and think that they can pull what ever shit they want. I told this story before so I wont go into detail but last fall wasn't the first time I've come around a turn to find a car PARKED in the middle of the lane (as if it were traveling) with older people out of it to take pictures of trees. PULL THE FUCK OVER. This time of year it's crutial to pay that little extra bit of attention if you live in an area where there may be tourists - Maine, NH, VT, and the Cape are havens for these people that think the laws don't apply to them because they are from outta state.

I'm not overly litigious, but until we can find a way to make stupid hurt, the best cure for idiots is to cause them a bit of financial pain. Make sure the guy pays for your doctor visits, the vic, new gear, and of course, the full value of your "vintage, classic, fully restored, irreplaceable" CB750

I'm not overly litigious either, but, I agree. Stupid should hurt. I did feel a little better when I saw him TRY to drive away. I guess the old Honda screwed his right rear quarter enough to make it not drivable.

I'll be making a call later this week to his insurance co. (my father-in-law, who's also my Allstate insurance agent, is coaching me through it) I'll let them make me an offer to settle out. If I don't like what they have to say, I'll be getting a lawyer. Either way, hoping to at least get enough to get a naked Zook SV 650 or a Honda 919. I miss my SV, but I'm willing to give inline four a try.

The insurance will cover my helmet and the book value on the bike. My leathers are un-hurt as it seems I fell straight out of the sky into sand. Someone was watching over me
