This is a more serious for sale thread and I'm dropping the price a bit. As of tonight I have settled on a car that's cheaper and better on gas to replace it so I'd like to sell it ASAP.
2008 Tundra (bought as a brand new leftover in 2009, so it's essentially an 09, same truck).
51k Miles
Double cab 5.7L
Limited package
Black exterior
Grey leather interior
Line-x Bedliner Sprayed in professionally by line-x of Marlboro
Nav, backup camera, sonar sensors, etc.
Ipod hookup
Tow package, prewired for trailer brake controller
TRD 18" wheels powdercoated black with BFG AT's (20" premiums that came with the limited package were terrible in the snow, too little sidewall)
The tailgate has the emblems removed, looks nicer
I upgraded the oil filter housing to the metal one from the Venza
I have a handful of oil filters you can have
Has a K&N reusable air filter
MSRP $45k.
KBB:
Trade in $27k
Private party $30k
Retail $33.7k
Looking for a quick sale I'm now asking $28k.

Bump, want this gone pretty quick. Don't really want to trade it in. Put it on CL at a slightly higher price but don't want to deal with douchebags.

I don't have any on hand, I could go take some. It does need a quick cleaning though.
I googled and it looks exactly like this:
Or like this with grey leather and carpets:
Or like this with no wood:
No. I sold my enclosed trailer a year ago, so I don't need a truck. I'm probably going to reduce to one bike too. I just need cash flow right now.

That is one nice truck! Makes my 99 Ford Ranger look like a $1,500 truck...wait it is a $1,500 truck! hahaha.
I also would like to know what you picked up and GLWS and free bump.
I am trying to solve some cash flow issues so I am actually downgrading quite a bit (well in cost at least). I picked up a 2008 Audi A4 Avant (wagon) silver on black for a great deal, my buddy runs an audi dealership and just had this come in on trade... immaculate shape and it's a 6-speed... very rare. Also has sport suspension, bose, xenons. Should hold value very well as its the last year they made the avant in a stick and they made very few. Should be fun to drive for a few years until I get all my shit in order, but also be practical for snowboarding, racing, dump runs, etc due to being a wagon. Between reduction in payments and savings on gas I'm estimating about $100 a week back into my pocket which is pretty significant.

Too bad you'll be spending that $100 a week you save on parts. German = expensive parts.
oh...and GLWS.![]()

I guess you missed the part where I said my buddy runs an audi dealership
Anyways, haters gonna hate.
Car loan rates are so friggin' low right now... many rates below mortgage rates. You're beating inflation! hahaha
Someone buy my truck!

I hear you. I wish I could scrap my truck for something with better gas mileage. Hard to fit ladders on top of a car, though.
Buy his truck.

Bring it to a Carmax dealer and see what they offer you for it. You can go there, get it appraised and walk out with a check. I brought my 12 civic to them and they offered 15k. My bottom line was 16k so I didnt do the deal. But it would be worth it to see what they say. You can just say no if you dont like the offer.

That's not a bad idea, not sure if I want to drive down there just to get low balled though. Did they offer more or less than other places?

Thats the only place I tried since they advertise that they will buy your car even if you dont buy thiers. They are a no haggle company. I have it on craigslist and have had bites on it. I was looking for a quick sale as well. Its worth a shot. The whole process took about 45 mins. After they give you the offer you have 7 days to cash in on it.

I'll wait a bit and then consider it. If I were going to do that I'd trade my wheel/tire setup for a stock setup + cash from someone probably as it doesn't affect tradein but is a $$ setup.

You should be able to get as much from the place you are buying a new car as Carnax would give you.
I think Carnax will give you an online quote as well. I'm sure it will be well below 28 though.

Their website said you have to come in. I already bought the new vehicle after determining their tradein offer was too low (they were just going to auction/wholsale it or send it to another dealer, they deal with different stuff there). Since the new vehicle cost much less, if I did trade it in I wouldn't have had to pay sales tax. So I guess that is the amount of risk I took on by not accepting the tradein offer. That and the possibility that it could sell for less than I owe on it and I'd have to pony up the cash to pay off the lien. I don't think that will happen though.
Roger, will do.
