I just wheelied From my house all the way to work. Blowing stop signs and ignoring those damned kids trying to get on the bus. I ended with a sweet stoppie right at the front door.![]()
You suck at life. Why don't you quit?
My dad told me I could be anything I wanted when I grew up. So I became an Asshole.
whatever... moving on.

Lemme see now ... two posts and sitting in judgement pointing the finger.
Always heard if you point a finger at somebody, there are three more pointing right back at you!
Also heard if you shoot someone the fingerthere are three or six more sending you to hell!
For shame ... now I will go to my corner and do a time out ...:
Sheesh!
Are you a jehovah's witness or a morman or something like that?![]()
If that last post was pointed at me allow me to post a 3rd and simply restate what I already stated....
This a personal preference, not a moral judgement. Have fun and be safeI firmly believe in free choice and the right of everyone to associate with whomever they please so have fun y'all and be safe!
oooooooh wait... can i pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease re-re-re-re-re-re-re-restate what i've already said too?

Abandon the account and the alias and start all over again with a new account and by just
saying, "hello, how are you doing?" "My name is <insert new handle here> and I am looking for some riding partners."
"Are there any peeps around <insert location> that would be interested in a ride?"
Maybe, just maybe, the frost is going to melt and you will see the lovable assholes we all are.

What the hell is going on in here? Gotta love when some random dude comes in and makes a stupid post. The vast majority of the riders here are pretty responsible not really into stunting. I cant even recall one wheelie on any ride that Ive been on. Personally I dont care what others do on their bikes as long as it doesnt affect me or any of the people that are on rides with me. You want to wheelie off int he corner by yourself by all means go for it. If you do it on my rides where it endangers people the gtfo. It will be your last with me.
Dont be so quick to judge
Firstly Dave, hello and welcome.
At last count we had 1,903 members here. A good percentage of those members ride regularly in groups on rides organized on this site.
With that amount of members, I am SURE you will find someone to ride with who rides to your style/liking. If not, it may be time to look in the mirror, LOL.
...and, like Josh (frankenstein) says. That guide was written a few years back when this site was VERY different and the admins were a few years younger and maybe a little less sensible (I know I was).
Again, welcome. Stay a while.
derek
I think what you're not seeing, and what is getting everyones panies in a twist, is basically you came in, introduced yourself and said, none of you are good enough for me to ride on the street with... Now just maybe thats not how you ment to come off but that was how it sounded.. Look at the ages of most of the regulars on this board, its a bunch of old farts, not stunna punk kids... If you are that afraid of riding with people from the board, go to one of the closest Bike nights to you where NESR members show up, I think you will find that most will align with your views on riding.. Lowell being one of the better NESR represented Bike Nights..
Old farts thanks Joe!
I came on here with an open mind and i think anyone else who doesn't should look for another forum to post on. Thats why i said " don't let the door hit you on the way out". Screw what the rules say give people a chance. Thats what makes this forum so good... diversification. To me people who believe everything they read are missing out on the finer things in life. Experience is everything. Live life to the fullest. As far as I'm concerned this guy is missing out. And ignorance is what he'll walk away with. The less people i ride with that have that attitude the better. We are all united by one thing...two wheels and that should be enough.

I've gone on a bunch of group rides with people on this forum. I ride my own ride and if people are acting reckless *cough* Boss Hog *cough* I'll take off and ride on my own. (Don't worry though, boss hog is long gone)
I'll continue to go on group rides because there are a lot of great people on here too.
It's your decision and I respect it but I'd give us a chance first. Go on one or two rides and see for yourself. I don't think your gonna find a group of people as safety conscious. I've gone on a lot of easy paced rides with everyone in full leathers and back protectors.
Yeah, but Alex. you pulled a wheelie on one of the rides we were on. Granted, it was about 2" off the ground and because there are a quick rise then fall of the pavement (and an extra amount of gas helped a little).
So, you're a squid . . . just kidding bro.
I'm a pretty conservative rider. I'd never consider doing a wheelie, mostly out of fear. The rides I've been on have been nothing but fun. No stunnahs or icy hot wannabes (got that from a forum type on BoRn and think it's funny as hell) that I've ever ridden with.
OK, this is going to be VERY hard for me. Especially with no '...yeah, but...'s.
Here goes...
After reading the posts that followed my introduction I realize that I set a tone that was sure to generate the responses that followed. So, I app#$#@...uh, appol#$*.... appolog#$(&....
Damn...I am sorry! Sorry to have offended so many of you. Sorry to have started this whole freeking shitstorm!
From a lot of the posts and pms that folks took the time to write I believe this is an awesome board and that there are a ton of great riders here and I can only hope I haven't alienated all of you.
Mea culpa....
Dave

Glad you're sticking around Dave. This board has more responsible and skilled riders than you'll find anywhere else that I know of.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
Well, that guy could be my friend Jim! He broke his wrist in two places at last Saturdays Rookie race!
If you're so inclined you can go to my web site, (can't post urls yet but it's in my profile) and read about my second Novice race last weekend!
I will look for you at the track. I will be there the Saturday of the June Classic working with Jay Routhier leading Ducati Demo rides. Then Sunday I am leading a ride for Seacoast Ducati/Guzzi/Aprilla of Derry to the LRRS races. So, I'll look for you then!
Later,
Dave

stick around dave. i went on a group ride last year and when the 2 guys leading the ride (not from here) showed up on busas with sunglasses, sandals, shorts and t shirts. i took a deep breath and sighed. i wasnt sure what to do. i wanted to ride and i didnt want to judge. then when one of our guys (NESR) showed up in full leathers and the busa guys laughed at him, i knew i wasnt riding with them. there was a total of at least 25 bikes when we started. then about 5 of us split off down the road and did our own ride. i wasnt in full leathers but i was dressed appropriately. those rules are old and not many people read them. there are a lot of un written rules here also. when the ride is a "black tie affair". you show up dressed properly. dressing and riding properly are encouraged around here. like Oreo said. there are some rides that arent posted and if you show that you are a responsible then the PMs come for those. stick around. its worth it.

I can't help wheelies, the bike just does them when I crack it open![]()

Hey Dave,
I'm glad you are going to get to experience some group rides with us. Next week at the Lowell Bike Night (motorcyclenight.com) is a great place to meet members.
I see that you live in Southern NH. I'll be heading to Lowell from Milford, NH around 6pm if you want to tag along down with me/us.
PM me if interested.
Again. Welcome.
PS - I don't do wheelies![]()
