Hi all,
This is my first time posting here. I spend most of my MC forum time over at SVrider.com but thought I'd move over here to keep up on more local stuff. I recognize a few of the names from SVrider (Currently, RandyO). I'm hoping to get in on a few group rides this summer and, if the $$ situation works out, get a track day or two in this summer. I currently ride a silver '03 SV650 that I purchased two years ago to replace my first bike, an '81 Honda CX500. In all, I've been riding on the street for a little over 3 years. You'll find me on the SV around UNH during the school year and riding out of Somersworth, NH the rest of the time. Hope to get in on a few good rides with you guys this summer.

I go visit my granddaughter in Dover practically every nice weekend during the summer. I also have a friend that lives near the Somersworth line in Dover.
Don't know if I will be around this summer though ... I got a dream that I have been working towards for the last 4 years that may be coming true.
I will let you guys know once that it is a sure thing.

Welcome! The CX500 is a great first bike IMO. How did you like it?
Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.
The CX500 was a great bike. I had the C (Custom) version. It was a great bike. I was lucky and found one that was in great shape for it's age. Very little surface rust anywhere and no dents/damage of that sort. I loved the Twin engine arrangement (I felt like I was riding the Moto-Guzzi I could never afford, minus the slight difference in power). The cylinders also made great hand and knee warmers on cold days. I sold it so I could pay for the SV without any kind of financing. I regret selling it every time I see one though. You don't see them around often. I plan on picking another one up in the future. It took a lot of work to get running perfectly, and I spent hours pouring over manuals and diagrams and reading up on its history, doing all of the work myself. The fuel-injected SV is so problem free right now that I miss having a bike to work on and tune. I like working on bikes almost as much as I like riding.
