Hello all! Just finished the MSF course a week or so ago and am learning tons on my 93 CBR F2.
This is my first bike ever and its awesome... but I came here mostly to seek out advice and hopefully have someone help me build good riding skills and technique for more confidence on the street.
I want to learn as much as possible and not develop bad habits, and I feel that "learning on the fly" is prob not the best way to build good street riding habits.
Look forward to riding with and learning as much as I can from the more experienced people here!
All the best,
Kaz
oh.. and the obligatory bike pics...

Welcome.. good call on the MSF course.. and sweet bike.![]()
Okay, that's the left side of the bike....what's the right side look like?
If you're truly open to advice then please, absolutely under no circumstances should you try to keep up with faster riders. Stay within your limits at all times!
Welcome to the roflbus.
Plenty of knowledge flying around here.
awesome bike!!!!
2006 Red Triumph Daytona 675
Welcome.
I love the old F series and Interceptors.
Seat time, Seat time, Seat time. The only bad habit you will get will be hanging around here.
No need to rush into anything. Until you begin to feel comfortable check out an ARC course to refine those skills you picked up on the street then maybe a track day.

Don't listen to these guys.....having a bike with only left side fairings is cool![]()
You need a right-handed camera as yours only works on the left side.
Very nice machine BTW, and welcome to the forum.
holy chit... lol.. I think I already love it here...
its been down once or twice but nothing major.. just some plastics scrapes...not by me though...
and yes.. it has right side fairings...
proof...
thanks for the warm welcome and I totally agree, I don't want to ride with stupid speed freaks that I see around here...especially all the guys going fast with almost no gear on!! I'm blown away buy the all guys on R1s and Gixxer 1ks with a helmet, a leather vest with bare arms and shorts and no boots!!![]()
Which is why I came here... to find folks who appreciate riding for riding... not cranking the throttle all the time... I went to barnes and noble the other day and was reading "Sport Riding Techniques- How to Develop Real World Skills for Speed, Safety, and Confidence on the Street and Track"
A great read and after I left the book store I tried some of the things I read about in regards to steering inputs and weight distribution and man... like night and day in regards to how more relaxed I felt and the smoothness of the bike. Thats the stuff I'm looking for...
All the best!

White wheels! I always kept mine clean, just like yours are. I had a wheel fetish anyway!![]()
Nice bike... reminds me of my '93 that I had. Loved that bike, only issue I ever had with it was the rectifier shit the bed. They updated it for the '94+ with heat-sync fins on it to eliminate the overheating which lead to its demise.

I love the new guy!![]()

JohnnyV- what is a rectifier and how do I fix it before it goes to shit on me... ?
any other issies with these bikes I should know about..? I know the hydraulic CCT is crap and should be replaced with a APE manual one and will be doing that soon.
Kaz
You will be fairly warned when the CCT starts to let go... you'll hear a clicking noise get louder and louder and louder.
The rectifier is located underneath the right side rear panel, mounted to a plate on the subframe. Looks like this:
If you can find a unit from a newer bike, with the fins on it, that would be ideal. Through bikebandit it will run you about $160 to simply replace the original one, or you can find one on ebay for around $60.
WELCOME!
Really nice bike too!![]()
