    Hello all, I'm new to the site and the world of biking. Someone on SBN told me about this site and suggested I give it a shot. I have (mostly) taken the MSF safety course (they canceled our last riding day this past sunday due to the wonderful New England weather), and I shall be purchasing my bike shortly after. I am open to learning anything I can and look forward to riding. I grew up around bikes (my father was a biker), but I have never been in the driver seat. I have missed the feeling of being on a bike so much, I finally broke down and now I am getting one. Though my father was a cruiser guy, I am partial to sportbikes myself. I have done alot of mountain biking in my time and the agressive seating position is something that just suits me and is more comfortable than sitting on my tailbone for hours. My first bike will be a Kawasaki ZZR600, black.

    Ok, this has turned out to be a bit longer than a simple hello, so I'll leave it at this for now.

    The new ZZR's are, in my opinion, great bikes. Sporty yet comfortable(compared to the new supersport bikes), and don't look half bad either.

    Thanks alot everyone. Due to the sudden weather change, I have been able to bump the date that I get my bike up to today. I can't bare to wait any longer, so I'm off to the registry and insurance company to do all the lovely paper work and give loads of my money away. With any luck, I should have my bike by noon-ish today. I have to admit, I'm a little intimidated by the engine size, but I'm sure I'll get used to it with a light wrist. I'll have my friend driving behind me to keep an eye out for me while I make the trip from the dealer to my house. That way I won't have to worry to much about some idiot gettting on my ass end while I'm familiarizing myself with the new bike. I'll let you all know how everything goes later.
