What's up gang?
I've been a passive member here for a few years but never really posted anything prior to now. I just upgraded from my 2007 Suzuki SV1000 that I put about 30K miles on to a sweet 2012 Yamaha R1 50'th Anniversary Edition bike with Akropovic slip-on pipes and only 1200 miles that I bought a week ago. I'm completely enamored by the bike and am absolutely thrilled to finally own an unmolested specimen of the machine that I have been lusting over and Youtube bikesterbating to since the inception of the Crossplane motor in the R1 back in 2009. I've literally been looking for a nice one at the right price for the past 3 years to buy and scored a disgustingly sweet deal on this one. There is nothing like riding around on something that sounds like a NASCAR engine, goes like stink, and looks amazing (to me at least). This thing is just so much better than my old SV in almost every way as far as things that actually matter to me in a sport bike.
I also ride dirt, but mostly trails and just have a lowly 2003 Honda XR250 for trails and mud riding.
