Hey all,
My name is Dan and I'm pretty new to riding and just bought my first bike. It's a 2002 Suzuki Marauder <insert cruiser joke here> and I'm just waiting on some decent weather to get out and ride. Any suggestions for some good rides around Boston?
-Dan

Welcome to the NESR mess. Where in the city you live? I'm right in Central Sq. For "decent" Boston-local rides (there is really no such thing as a decent ride in a city) check out:
(1) Storrow Drive / Soilder's Field Road *real* early on Sunday mornings (i.e. less cars).
(2) The Riverway in JP (again, Sunday mornings)
(3) Some of the back roads that go around Jamica Pond (off the the River Way)
(4) Furnace Brook Parkway (off 93) in Quincy/Milton through Blue Hills.
But if you want real fun, your gonna have to go west of the Quabbin.

Hey Dan, welcome. Check out Rt. 27 off of 128 N. That will get you to Weston, Concord and Lexington area. Will enjoy yourself type rides. Also check out Rt. 117 W off of Rt. 128N. I think the ext. is 23?? There's this nice ride by Waltham and a certain reservior (Ext.17)?? that is very pretty.
If your new to riding... be careful around the J-way etc. there's not alot of room for error.![]()
