Just join NESR forum and trying to get back in riding again. I just pick up a 95 ZX6R this pass winter. The bike has been setting in this guy garage for about five years. I my plan is to get it running again and use it as commuter as my truck only get 11mpg and the gas prices is killing me.
NESR has great writer up and great people I'm sure I can get this bike running again, I'll keep every one up date once I start working on it.

Welcome to the forum. Nice bike choice. I have the factory service manual for our bike so if you need any specs or wiring diagrams just let me know man. Be glad to help hopefully I'll have mine up and running before you lol. Oh what color is yours? Take some pics. Mine's the red and bluish purple scheme

Todd- Thanks man, my is red and purple it might be the same color scheme, I'll take some pictures I hope to start on this project this weekend or maybe after the snow storm pass us this Friday. I've order service manual on Monday hope to get it this week. Todd also I saw your posting about your bike and it sounded like what the previous owner describe to me about my bike. We might have the same problem the bike just doesn't start do you know if is this normal with these bikes?
Todd..
How far did you get on your bike?
Welcome fello Kawi rider.
yep they're the same color. Mine sat for a couple years as well. Not sure if this is normal for these bikes. Mine;s actually sitting in his garage for right now till I get it running. The carbs were all gummed up and I tried to start it just to see if it would fire and I ended up cooking something runnin the starter fro too long cause then it just stopped. I got a new starter cleaned the carbs and finally put it all back together and still nothin so hopefully I can find the problem soon cause it's killin me not ridin. We'll definitely have to go riding once they're up running would be cool to see the same bikes together. Hopefully be able to go work on her this weekend and make some progress.

Yes differently, but first we have to get the bike up and running… on my bike some of the decal was missing/scratch up, so I took heat gun to it and remove all the decal, Ninja sign and black stripe on the side now the bike is just red and purple and no decal.
Hi everybody,
I want to thank everyone for the warm welcome and happy riding.
Welcome! Good to have another ninja pilot around![]()
