Hi Folks.....Scott in Barrington, RI here. My wife and I both ride. She has an 06 Shadow Aero 750 and rides the pants off of most of my buddies when we're all in the twisties.....pegs scraping in the Berkshires, Adirondacks,Green & White Mountains....and she's only been riding since 2005. I've been riding since 1993. Started on a Suzuki GS500E. I rode that for 3 years, then bought a Suzuki Intruder 700 and then my fave bike....a 93 Suzuki VX800 that I rode for many years. In 2004 I bought a Shadow Sabre 1100 which now has 28,000 miles on it. I'd always loved the little Ninja 250's and came across an '05 two weeks ago that only had 454 miles on it. I picked it up for $2500 and love it. I'm still breaking it in, so I haven't taken it to redline of
13K yet, but I should hit 1000 miles tomorrow and then redline, here I come. What a blast this bike is. Feels like I'm doing 80.....engine screaming, close to the ground w/ 16 inch tires....look down at speedo...55 mph.....lol. Anyway, I am hoping that the member with the Corbin seat for sale for a Ninja 250 still has it. The Ninjette's seat is killing my ass. Can I say that here?
Are there any members getting together for a ride on Saturday? Any other members in RI or south eastern Mass?

Wow Kim! So nice to see you here! How have you and Ed been? The memories of some of our rides are beginning to flood my feeble 54 year old brain. When is the last time we rode together.....maybe 8 or 10 years ago? I remember Ed riding an EX500 on one of our rides to the Vanilla Bean. Didn't he run out of gas and we were like the Keystone Cops trying to figure that out.....with Glenn coming to the rescue? What were you riding then? Then Ed got a VX800 like Glenn's and mine......yes? That was long before I got married to Sue years ago.....when I still had the psycho girlfriend. Ah....the memories! Care to fill in the blanks?

Yeah, it had to be over 10 years ago...how time flies. I think I was riding a Yamaha YZF600R at the time and Ed was riding the VX800. Do you hear from Glenn or anyone else from the Suzuki list anymore? We'll have to meet at the Bean sometime and catch up.

I live in southern ri and taught my significant other to ride as well. She normally passes me now and I have been riding for a long time. I picked up a 250 ninja this year myself to take with me on road trips on my camper. The seat gets hard after a bit but the wind is horrendous. Cant ride more that 1 hour with out a helmit or my head is ready to fall off. Even with the helmit it is no long riding bike but lotsofun in the summer around town. OH!!!!!!!!!! redline away I ride between 7-13 grand all the time otherwise it is to underpowered for me. Don't worry no wheely power in that little engine but it will go 110mph if you kick it with your belly on the tank and head on the tach. I proved it.
