Hi there,
Ive been riding for 17 years (started in the UK) and currently ride a Honda CB750. Usually ride till it snows. Like to ride all over New England and have been cross-country a couple of times as well as Boston - Cancun and back. Took the bike to Scotland, Europe (Alps, Prague, etc) as well. Looking forward to meeting a few of you for some New England rides.
cheers
Andy
welcome.
how much did it cost to get the bike to the uk?
2007 GSX-R600
1997 ZX-9R (sold)
1979 RD400F Daytona Special (sold - i know, i know)
Had at one point or another for off-road: KX125, Four-trax 250R, 250 3wheeler, XR250, XR400
Welcome to the site Andy. butcher's hook forward to riding with ye
It was $700 from New Jersey with Wallenus Wallenstein (they ship pretty much everything) - was roll-on-roll off. No crate required. Had it in the Uk for 2 years and then brought it back.
Same price to ship to Germany or Belgium if you are thinking of going to the Alps (highly recommend this!).
thanks for the welcome - Ive been in Boston for 4 yrs and never knew about this Forum
cheers
Andy

Hey thanks. Yeah Boston to Mexico via San Francisco (Pacific Rt1 is amazing - all the way down to La Paz, Baja and then across to Mazatlan) - 16,000 miles there and back in 2 months. Good times.
cheers
Andy
yeah wish i had that kind of money and time... welcome... i don't know ya, but i'm already jealous!![]()
I had no money at the time....only time ;-) - inbetween jobs...I used most of my cash just to fill up with gas and camped mostly. This was not touring "The Long Way Round" style with support crew and TV crew - this was jumping on my bike in Boston and riding out West with no particular route to follow.
A few years after the Mexico trip, myself and a couple of friends did the Easy Rider trip - riding from LAX to New Orleans (and back to Boston) -that was 5500 miles, 16 days. And this was a cheap-ish trip - $750 for 16 days of riding.
Cheers
Andy
