Exclamation New here and need help.

Happy New Year everyone, I hope I have found the forum I need. I bought a '03 Honda xr50 for my grandson and it needed a rear tire. Bought one for Xmas but can't figure how to get the back wheel off. Does the axel need to be removed? If si is this tricky, do I mallet it out, how hard is it to put it back in?

    Thanx,
    Rb

Hello and welcome to the forum. Remove brake cable or rod at rear hub. Loosen the chain adjusters. Loosen axle nuts. Remove chain from sprocket. Remove completly one axle nut and pull axle from the other side. May need slight taps. Grease it lightly when reinstalling.

Don't mallet anything out, ever. If you can't figure out how to unbolt the rear wheel just put down the tools and have someone else do it, it's gotta be one of the simplest procedures possible on a bike. Changing those tires is a real pain in the balls though.

Put down the mallet and call a local repair shop. Where are you located?
