Hello everyone. I am a new rider, finished my MSF over a 1 1/2 year ago. Finally got the bike last week of August 2008. No riding experience whatsoever, besides the MSF. Have been stressing over alot of issues being new, but many of my mental issues regarding riding was alleviated by more riding. I would love to meet up with local RILanders who want to go cruise and show me some more tips on riding technically/safely. I am all about keeping it on two wheels.
Here is a collection of High Def videos I currently have that is downverted to mp4 format. You need "Combined Community Codec Pack" to view it if you have problem watching the vids.

Hey! I'm a newb on this board too, but as a more-experienced rider I wanted to recommend you invest in quality protective gear, and take it slow!
Lots of good information on protective gear and safety at SquidBusters
Look into "Twist of the Wrist" and "The Pace" for information on safe and technical riding. Nick Einatsch also describes a bunch of good practice exercises and drills in "Sport Riding Techniques."
My other advice is don't be afraid to ask questions! Nobody wants a new rider to learn anything the hard way!![]()
Thanks for the love. I do have gear, for street riding as of now. Helmet, Jacket, and gloves. In the future, will get real riding gloves, riding boots, and riding jeans.
I am one of those people that learns from what I see in person than from a book. I will stop by the local bookstore and look for those books in addition to riding techniques from experience riders that rides the proper way, and not that old bad habit sh!t.

Welcome. I'm in Cranston. What kind of bike did you get?
welcome![]()
It wasn't me I didn't do it (unless you have the negatives to prove it)
I am living in Cranston. Bike is Black Ninja 650R with red rims.
Here is my profi:
Would be killer to have some Profi Vanadium Speakers on the bike!
Need to buy more reflective decals for bike, helmet, and some bright vest thing over my jacket. Proper riding jeans, shoes and gloves will come next Spring.

Nice bike. I have a blk 600RR. Hope to meet the Rhody members soon.
hello and welcome fellow RI'er
I think us RILanders should meet at RWP or Garden City Post Office parking lot.
6pm sounds good, not too many people with AIM here eh, too bad, we can communicate quicker. Rode home with my friend today from work, I told him I take it slow, I don't have the skills he does on his zx14, nor do I do lane splitting in RI.

We might have to start a thread in the Ride & Event section. RWP sounds good. This coming weekend?
