Guys,
What say we have a group gathering to "meet the members" that are now part of the group. Maybe we could do this twice a year or so, in order to make sure everyone has a chance to meet in one spot.
Not everyone will be able to make it, but if there were an opportunity like this, I'll bet most members would try - I know I would...
Thoughts on timing, place, etc?

I think it's a great idea! Timing is always the toughest thing for us though. It's hard with the baby & all...
But we MIGHT be having a brew-ha for Labor Day weekend. Maybe that would be a good place to start the planning for this...
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
Stoneman,
Excellent idea. If the Labor Day get togther works out, we could make an announcement here, and we'll be all set.

Mark,
Yipper - you sure do. I am supposed to pick it up this weekend, and I hope it works out. I've been having an ongoing hassle with the guy riding the bike, and I told him that if he doesn't park it today (which he should do because I've given him earnest money), that we may have an issue...
Hopefully it will work out - I'll know by tomorrow. Look forward to riding with you soon!

Craig, good luck with the new bike, hope everything works out.
I'm ready for some bike shopping myself. I have 2 dealers searching for a new 01 red R6. There's a good chance i may even go and look at 2 used 01's as well.
My R1 finally made it in the bike trader (remember they messed the add up) yesterday, well, first day in, first call and my poor bike has a happy new ownerI did very well, i should be able to come home with a brandy new r6 with no money out of my pocket, or at least only a couple hundred bucks

Mark:
Everything worked out with the 996. I picked it up last Saturday, and I'm really happy with it. I've always wanted one, so this will be a fun experience.
AWESOME deal on the sale of the R1. Like I was saying when we were up at Jay's...I knew it wouldn't take long once the ad was up. I can't wait for you to get the RED R6. I think the new R6 is absolutely stunning looks wise, and of course...the performance will make it a fun ride! Keep me posted.
Steve:
I think I'll have to leave the name as is for now. My next bike is going to be an MVF5, and there is NO WAY I'd ever work that in, so I think I'll stop right here. Regarding which bike to ride in Vermont...I am seriously thinking about pulling a CRYBABY, and riding the R1 up there on Friday, but have the 996 Loaded in the truck for Alison to bring up with her on Friday night. Then, I could ride that bike all day Saturday up to Canada and back to the camp - which is where the best roads will be. We'll have to see. I am getting VERY quick at loading and unloading bikes in the back of our Toyota Tacoma, so this may be a plan.
Looking forward to riding with both of you soon!

Hey MarK...lol.. if ya get the R6 take it to Ivan in NY to have it jetted. He did a killer job on Jen's but ya have to take it to him.. it's not something you want to do yourself TRUST ME I watched him. They are nothing like the R1... did you know they have radiator fluid running in the carbs?
