Its been something like 8 years since I've been to the track. I first went when I was around 7 years old. My father, Gordon #126 AKA Scootertrash brought me to plenty of races back in the day, and I have been longing to get back. I remember several of his racing buddies and the thrill of watching like it was yesterday. Now that I have grown up to 18 y/o and have been raised by a racer, I count the days until I can get back to the NHIS (Or NHMS now)
This is just a comparison of then/Now. The first being a race from 2007 with my sister, my father, and lil ol' me in the middle (Notice the vintage NESR Racing hat!) And the Second is my first bike, a Suzuki GS500f.
This is only the first post, Hopefully many more to come! Adventure awaits...
What a great intro post. Welcome!
GORDO! How's your pops doin? Been a long time since I've seen him. He was around when I first started racing. Great guy.
Welcome to the forum, Gary.

Thank you!
Gordon is well, he has been teaching me the ins and outs of motorcycles and has been training me well. He is letting me use his '99 ZX9r now and looking into track days and maybe even getting me into a race or two.
Other than that, he is thinking about getting back into racing, as I am now in College and he has a lot more free time and space.
He has been riding for longer than I have been alive and has not slowed down a single second as far as I can tell.
Welcome and good luck with the track days and racing!
As a dad that went riding with his son today (who has just started college), I approve of this intro thread.Where are you going to school?

Vermont Technical College in Randolph Center. He's home on break and the dinner table has been taken over with soldering irons, meters, and wire.

Very nice! There is nothing like a good ride to bring father and son together after time apart.

Gary! How's it going? Man, you're right: time certainly flies by. Great hearing from you!
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
So, Gary has had his bike license for two months. He has already gone from putting around on his GS500, to dragging his knee around town on my ZX9R. I think I have created a monster. It will be fun to see him at his first track day. Guess who is riding the GS500 now ???
Hello & Welcome.
