Hi all, New to NE riders. I see some of the local track clubs listed in the track section. Pretty cool. Will be hitting them us soon enough.
Current bikes - 06 GSXR-1000 and 06 R6. Will be turning the R6 into a track bike this yr.
Welcome! Good choice on the track bike!

Hey all. I had an 03' 636 for a couple yrs as my track bike. I bought it an an auction. Bad idea. Bike was not in good shape. I sold that last yr. to a friend of mine. Gave him a deal. The new R6 is in great shape. All stock except the turn signals. So I can make whatever changes I want. Just doing track days for now. I don't have the time or money to get into racing. For now i'm happy doing a couple track days a season. i've only had the R6 out once this yr. itching to get out for a longer ride on it.
Welcome!
Depending on your job and time off schedule, racing can be a benefit because it is only on weekends, whereas track days are (mostly) only on weekdays depending on the track.
NH has no weekend track days. There are some limited weekend days at other tracks (thompson, palmer). NYST is mostly weekends for members. NJ has some weekend days.
So it depends on what you want to do and where you want to go.

I recently sold an 06 GSXR 1000
Welcome from another noob.. Hope to catch you at one of the track days. I just did my first one of the season at NHMS. Like you, I'm not planning to get into racing but trying to do a 3-4 track days a season.

No doubt man. My 06 1000 has so much more power. No need to down shift like on the R6. I am selling my 1000 though. Did not ride it much last yr.
Busa!
And welcome.
