Hello to Everyone just signed up , I'm from New brunswick Canada ride a 06 fz 1 my wife rides 05 kawi z750s , last summer our trip was the old airport route to bangor then took the # 2 to New hampshire stayed the night in North Conway then back home via the route 1 in maine love it .Planning another state side trip this summer , thinking new hampshire threw to vermont then home threw quebec any suggestions for good routes would be appreciated .

If you're going to be in Conway, you definitely want to hit the Kancamagus Highway (Rt 112). I recommend taking Bear Notch Road from one side to the other, it cuts out part of the Kanc, but its twisty and freshly paved other than a few bumpy sections.
There's a member on here (Nikon) who lives and works in the area and can recommend some other good roads in that area.

Conway is a great spot to come in from and if you are heading back into Canada through Newport there are several passes to hit. Bear Notch is a nice road but it will cut out the best views of 112 if my memory serves me. My rte #'s are clueless but from 112 hit 302 straight through to Barre Vt from there will get him in the direction of Waitsfeild and 17. Okay I need a dang map and will post a few route #'s out for people to look at.![]()

try this on
302 N Conway to Bartlett then take Bear Notch over to 112 ( Kancamangus HWY).
Stay on 112 to Lincoln ( fill up in N Conway gas ia a lot cheaper there then Lincoln)
follow 112 up through to 302, take left on 302 and stay on till Montpelier VT.
(side note) when you hit 302; Bath NH is a few miles on the right and the best little 50's style ice crem joint you'll find.
take rte 2 in Montpelier to 100b and onto 100 to Waitsfeild and take RTE 17 ( you will want to run this I couple times IMO )take 17 over to 116
2A to route 15 and stay 15 to Johnson. ( WOULD love it if a local would clean up 2a to 15 for him I know the road but not the rte in that area)
In Johnson take 100b to 100 and on to Eden.
In Eden take 118 to Belvidere corners
from 118 hit 109 north to 242 and up over Jay Peak to Jay.
from there you can cross intio Candada from N Troy or Derby line.
