Hey NESR,

I’m new to the forum and just wanted to say Hello. I was actually on the way out of the motorcycle world. I had just sold my Honda 929 in July this year, and then my buddy Fitz signed me up for Penguin school for the last race weekend at Loudon a few weeks ago. He had been trying to get me on the track for over a year, but I had been avoiding it knowing damn well I would be instantly addicted. I took the class on Friday and raced the Rookie Race and Race #3 on Saturday. Well, I was right, I absolutely loved it and am addicted already. Now I’m in search for a track ready bike for the 2010 race season. (preferable a 1st gen SV650). In addition to searching for a track bike, I recently picked up a ‘05 CRF250x for something different. I’m not familiar with any riding areas around here because I am originally from Western Maine. If anyone has a track prepped SV650 or any suggestions on where to take my 250x for a rip, let me know.

I was hoping to see a Monday morning race report from you. No more diesels in 22. The smell is awful without Castrol 747 and VP race gas. Get a RS125 or a TZ250.

Welcome to the forum, dude.

Don't be too picky between the 1st or 2nd gen SV, just get whatever you can get the best deal on. The differences between them, though obvious (injected vs carbureted, different chassis, etc) really don't make much difference.

I was originally looking for a 1st gen as well, since it supposedly has a SLIGHTLY better chassis, but ended up with a 2nd gen & couldn't be happier.
