Hello,
Just wanted to introduce myself. I bought my first bike, an 02 YZF600R, back in early March. I'm taking the NH safety course the first weekend in June in Concord, and for now I have my permit. Put about 75 miles on the bike so far. I'm getting more comfortable with every ride, but I really need to work on taking turns a bit faster (I tend to pussy out and coast through some) and I need to rig up some audible reminder that my blinker has been on for the last four miles....other than that, I'm doing ok.
I'm not really into racing or stunting or any of that shit, just hoping that once I'm comfortable enough I can toss the wife on the back and just ride out to the beach for lunch or up to VT and back. Just looking for an escape from the real world, and a bike seemed to be a good way to do that.
My dad has a VTX 1300 Retro, and he does a lot of poker runs and charity rides and stuff, so once I'm good enough to ride in a pack I'll probably tag along. Maybe see some of you along the way!
Joey

take your time learning to ride. atleast you have the balls to say your new to it. keep a eye on the rides. when you feel more ready you can join us. there's plenty of slow to moderate rides that go on all season. hope to see you out there![]()

I'm certainly willing to take my time. I just want to be around long enough to teach my (not yet created) kids to ride in 20 years or so, so I'll take whatever precautions necessary to do that. Basically just looking to enjoy the local scenery without the restrictions of car windows!
Welcome and ride safely...![]()
