I'm in Amherst too. Haven't gotten together with anyone to ride yet this year. Would like to soon once things are a little less busy.

Welcome to the site Jeff....Lots of great people here and a few assholes too
Awwwww Corey![]()
We'll have to get in plenty of riding before then. I definitely plan on doing more riding up in your neck of the woods this season....
Route 1 up the coast? In cars, but not on the bike. I didn't ride when I lived there unfortunately. Looking at Vet school in Pomona, would love to ride the canyons around there, and California Speedway in Fontana looks to be 20 min away with lots of weekend track dates...![]()
Is that anywhere near Auburn Cali?
I know between Tahoe and Auburn there is a lot of crazy riding. I want to get out there someday. And if I already know someone in the area...hmm
Mosquito Ridge Rd, like 30+ miles of twisties and the adjacent area looks nuts too.
Edit...my bad I was off 445 miles. Pomona isn't anywhere near Tahoe.

Jeff, I think you are crazy for moving here. What got into you. New England over Cali? Crazy.

Yeah... I keep trying to explain to people out here that have never been on Route 1 what an awesome road it is... last season I kept trying to ride along the coast, but it wasn't anything like what I'm used to out West...
As the riding season gets going there will be a ton of rides posted... I'll be on most of them if I ever stop putting shiny bits on my bike and put the damn thing back together...![]()

Not sure CF really shines, but it's sure strong as hell and dissipates heat like mad![]()
Welcome.
Where did you live in Socal? Might be moving there soon myself. (Lived in NorCal Bay Area previously). PCH is the shit!

Welcome buddy. I was born in LA so I can definitely understand the move. What are you studying up at UMass? I just moved here from the West Coast in August and am in UMass living in Amherst as well.
Guess what my name is.....?
Yo yo yo

Oh nice! Yea a few of my highschool/college roommates moved to San Diego about 4-5 years back. I've spent some time out there, def nice. If I were to move (job) I'd be more in the Corona/Riverside/Orange County area but that's not *too* far from SD. Been to LA, Santa Monica, Fontana, Hollywood, BevHills, etc a shitload for work but still that's different than living there.
The PCH trip I did still is one of the coolest rides ever. My old man and I went from SF down to SLO on a Hypermotard and Multistrada (aka Diapermotard). Epic. I'd also ridden the PCH about 1-2 hours north of SF, some good riding up there too.
Anyway welcome to NE. It's cool.
