Whats up everyone... just found this forum and it looks great. I'm Zach, I ride a 09 10r... I've had 2 other 10r's in the past 5 years. I've never been down, hard to believe but it's true. I just came back from Los Angeles and I was doing a lot of knee dragin canyon riding out there which I miss big time. The best riding in the world out there for sure. Just wanted to say hi before I started posting. So who else live in the area? I'm in Duxbury and I usually ride all over the south shore and up to Boston sometimes.
These were taken on Angeles Crest Highway in LA:
This is my old 10r which I sold to a guy up in NH. (my first bike):
And this is my M3:
Sorry, just realized that's a lot of pictures.![]()

Stay tuned. There's some good stuff down this way.
The crest is awesome... lots of police up there now but sometimes you can get up there and it's empty. You know the whole place burnt down right? Largest fire in California history last September. Those pics were taken in August right before the fire. Oh, and I def. miss the Rock Store on Mullholand... the twistys right after the Rock Store were great. I used to go up to Newcomb's Ranch on the crest and we would have meets up there. Great time, wow I miss that.

Was your first zx10 lowered in the front a little bit? Maybe it's just the photo but it appears so.

KAWASAKI RULES WOOOOO!
Hey thanks for the welcome! Both of my 10r's are lowered in the front and rear.
My 09 is 1 inch front and rear and my 05 was 1.5 inches front and rear. Not sure why, but I feel like I can turn better with a bit lower than stock bike. Looks better too and it's always really easy to put it back to stock so why not.![]()

Haha, I know it's a no-no to lower it too much... hence why I only did 1 inch front/rear. It effects the way the bike turns a bit but it really gives me much more confidence entering turns which helps me. Plus I like the way it looks and it sticks to the ground better on a WOT straight away run or a launch.
It's also 1 down in the front, removed secondary butterfly valves on the thottle bodies, gutted cat, MGP Growler exhaust, Dynojet PC3 with custom dyno tune, HID's & LED's all over, CA integrated smoked tail light, under tail kit, 3M clear bra, Cox radiator guard, OEM solo seat, and probably a few other little things that I'm forgetting. The bike is just the way I want it... after it's broken in (only has about 600 miles on it right now) might cam it, up the compression a bit, and an ignition module.
PS... I have 24/7 access to a DynoJet dyno in Plymouth, MA and I do tuning. I can tune PC's & Ignition modules. For cars: SAFC's, DSMlink, MAF-T, UTEC, F.A.S.T. systems, Haltec, and prob a few other systems.
