And lookin forward to meetin people to ride with - as long as they don't mind the sight of a few chicken strips......

Welcome! Enjoy
As for those unsightly chicken strips, I just need some time to see close the knee can come to the ground. I wanna ride along some people who've been doing this longer than me. Go at a decent pace and learn by watching....
And I don't care if you're male or female... As long as you don't mind waiting at the next turn, I'm willing to learn from you. Out of my 1400 miles, all but about 60 have been solo, so I still am hesitant to see what the bike can do in the twisties.
Lookin forward to riding with some of you...
And the "shit" you MUST be referring to is the glare from the computer effects...![]()

Hey! I am up in Portland as well and don't really have riding buddies. It is nice to see some more Maine people popping up on the site. We should definitely go out and find some nice roads around here!

Welcome aboard!
Dont worry about those chicken strips...they'll work their way off soon enough!
And as far as gettin' the knee down...best place for that is the track!
Have a look at Boston Moto's Intro to Track Riding Program!
This is a great way to start your track day addiction!
Hope to see you out there!

Bah... Don't think I'd ever get rid of my chicken strips if my tires only saw the street & I've definitely never dragged a knee on the street either.
The track is a different story, though. That's the place to get that stuff done
And +1 on the Yankee fans thing... right, Kerry?![]()

Done the course and getting more confident by the day.. Confident - not cocky. Keepin 2 wheels on the ground and not plannin on lifting either any time soon.
Anyone here that's ridden in Maine have a preferred route? i.e. favorite run?

Yep.. Vanhalen5150ii has been takin me out on some pretty sick rips sort of circling around the Gorham/Buxton/Limerick and back to OOB area. Try to meet up with us one of these times... he's go some good roads (whether he means to find them or not) up his sleeve. I do the same when we ride in NH.
