Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm all weepy with emotion, talk amongst yourselves.
About me:
Based on some posts I've read here, I'm guessing I'm a bit older (at 36) than the average user on this forum. I have three bikes, a 2001 ZX9R in green (best street bike ever made IMHO) a 1993 Bandit 400 that my wife rides more than I do, but a great bike regardless and a 1986 Kawasaki Concours with about 90,000 miles on it. I don't ride the Concours much any more but it's great for two up sport touring and is in great shape considering it's age.
I like to ride the twisty back roads near my home, mostly. I occasionally take day trips (250-450 miles of back roads) into north and/or west NH (sometimes VT). Favorite numbered roads in NH are: routes 123, 123A 107, 175, 132, 118, 153, 113, 113A and plenty more as long as they are twisty, uncrowded and lightly patrolled. That said, the unnumbered routes are my absolute favorite roads.
I take occasional 90 to 120 minute lunch rides starting from North Andover MA (where I work), when weather permits. If anyone wants to join, there are usaually at least 2 of us and we ride at "The Pace" on rural back roads through South Eastern NH.
I usually ride well above the posted limits but am pretty good at avoiding tickets. Any tickets I do get, I fight regardless of actual guilt. I win more than my fair share. I wear full gear all the time and find that doing so reduces the chances of getting a ticket dramatically.
I do all my own mechanical work and often host tech. sessions in my garage. If anyone here needs help with something mechanical, I have quite a bit of experience, plenty of tools and am willing to assist.
See, I can write longer sentences...
Lotsa people your age and older here....and some younger. I think the majority of the really active forum members are between 25 and 40...with some exceptions outside that range.
I check in at 27.
