OreoGabrio(I think that's the spelling), recommended you guys. I'm a 3 year rider and just bought a new ZZR600. I'm outta Springfield, MA, so if any of you are around here let me know. I'm a relatively conservative rider, not doing wheelies or anything, but as long as your aren't gonna try and push me to get killed, I'm down.
Also, I'm about to order the 2bro's M2 Carbon Fiber exhaust, Lockhart Philips flushmounts signals(122-0021), Scorpio alarm(perimeter, battery backup, anti-hijack), 1tail.com Supersport undertail, and 1tail.com brake/turn intergrator. If any of you have any of those and have advice comments on them, let me know. And if you have questions on them, hit me up in about 2 weeks.
Anyways, I'm Dave, nice to meet you.
Welcome Dave.
What do you have for a Helmet, Jacket gloves, boots and Pants?![]()

Welcome to the circus...
Ride your own ride - the only one pushing you is you. If you aren't feeling right, wave the guys behind you past - they'll wait for you to catch up. There's nothing wrong with discretion when the other option is a fall.

Welcome to the site.
I'm from Springfield too.
Sounds like you care about your safety, so here are some other "parts" you might consider purchasing also.

Joe Rocket Jacket, Mesh
Cortec GR? Sport Gloves.
No riding pants, and saving for the boots. I need em by June, it's my third year riding, but I'm just getting around to the MSF. Slap me for it, I know.
And she is a great bike? I still need to name her.
I appreciate the warm welcome, I can already see the advantages to this place.
As for 35racer Har har. I'll be honest with you guys though. This is the first season I've really taken gear seriously at all. All I had before was a nice Cortec jacket, but it was two sizes too big, so I didn't wear it enough, I was just wearing a straight soft leather jacket. Just picked the aforementioned gear recently. The mesh isn't the most safe, but I know if I go to heavy, I'll make the poor decision every time it gets caliente out. My desire for mods is 98% cosmetic in the reasoning. I'm not a big guy, I don't really need more punch out of a 599cc machine.
welcome !
how do you like the zzr?
as far as boots go, search up ebay for vega nitro sport boots. got mine for 65 shipped. waterproof, armored well, and comfy out of the box.
keep an eye on newenough.com for a leather jackets and pants. i wear mine no matter how hot it is out. perforated leather is great stuff as well !
it is time to ride B!TCHEZ !

V's trying to organize a weekly group ride.. and i'm sure there's other rides going on as well almost on a weekly basis!

welcome! hopefully we can meet out on a ride.
Hey there, I'm located in Southwick. My husband and I both ride, and like Tiffany said, I found out there is many of us in the area, there is a fairly big group in my town who ride sportbikes but they are not on any forums. FastJohnny (John) is in Springfield also, quite a few guys out in Amherst area, etc. so it shouldn't be a problem for you to meet new riders.

LOVE the ZZR. I had a EX250 that I almost died on, an '06 EX500 last year, and the ZZR is exactly the bike I have been working my way up to. Perfectly sized(now that I got it lower 1.25 inches, anyone want to shorten my kickstand and reweld it for me?), enough power to have fun with without doing a wheelie everytime I pull away from a stop light. I'm not a big guy.
How's the ventilation on those boots?
And thanks for the welcome everyone. I didn't expect to have such success finding local people in the fucking ocean that is the internet. Thanks again Oreo.
