No, not a replacement for GPS tracking or Lo-Jack. Pretty much useless outside of the city or anywhere that there isn't a concentration of users.

It is completely sealed to keep it water proof.
This is why you can't replace the battery.

Too bad it does not give me the location only plays 'hot and cold' with the tile. Otherwise I would put it in my kids car or bike so I know if they went where they said they were.

Kinda dumb unless your in the same room as the item your looking for.
