very clear...looks great...how do you like that cover reel?...i'm still debating on doing something like this instead of the hooks...so you just pivot the end outside of the pool to over the pool, roll the cover up and then put that end back outside the pool...are there straps on your cover or do you just throw it over and start rolling?...i can't really mount mine on the pool edge since it's soft side so i would need to put in posts for all 3 locations and that is the part i'm hung up on cause i'm trying to not add more obstacles to cut the lawn around and i don't really want posts near the pool cause i walk around in that space to hand skim...i also still have to iron out my pool surround...probably going to do some 4" retaining wall blocks so i can step them down where the hill cut tapers down...then i plan to put down some plastic and fill the remaining space with smooth river rocks

Bought it last fall, just started installing now. Just finished the post this past weekend. Still have to attach the straps to the cover then attach that to the reel.
The previous method of pulling it off by hand and tossing it on the lawn wasnt working lol.
Ill let you know how it works after the first time I use it.
I agree on the random posts in the lawn, but we had to have a better solution.
i didn't realize the straps retrofit to any cover...i thought the covers came with them built in...
the one post in your case wouldn't bother me as you have so much clear space around it...in my case one side of my pool (land high side so the deepest ground cut) is next to the retaining wall supporting my driveway...that is also the side i want to store the cover on so i don't want to take away my ability to be able to drive my riding mower around it but i can make a similar setup work if the pvc hook option drives me nuts...i will have to spend a little more time on fb soft side pool groups to see what other ideas people have used

Finished the install today, pretty happy with it. Still need to beautify the post and trim 3" off the circumference of the cover so it fits better.
