Hey guys. I wouldn't normally ask about something like this, but it's a cause that's near and dear to quite a few people. As some of you guys know, I'm a paramedic. As a shift at work, we're trying to raise $10,000 for St. Baldrick's Organization. They're an organization involved in raising money for researching childhood cancer's and their cures. On March 22 a group of us from work will be shaving our heads at Elmer's in New Britain, CT (right near CCSU). We've set a goal for each employee to try to raise at least $1,000 in their name towards our team goal of $10,000. I know times are difficult right now, but this is a great cause. If you wanted to donate even a few bucks, it'd be really great and I'd appreciate it. And if you feel like joining us for a beer or two after the event, that's cool too.
To donate, go to www.stbaldricks.org, click "Sponsor a participant" and search for me; Shane Anderson. Then just follow the directions.
Thanks everyone. Hopefully we'll reach our goal.

OK... NESR drinking party in CT for once...
Get your asses down here. It's about 40 minutes from Springfield. Support a worthwhile cause. Crash at my house if you need to.

Thanks bro. I could probably put up a person or two at my house too if people wanted to come down. I'm not working that day at all. Should be a good time had by all and it's a great cause. $10,000 is a decent amount of scratch that we'd like to donate. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for the donations. It's really appreciated. I've never been through it myself, but one of my closest friends had a form of childhood cancer and I know everything that she went through. And I've been exposed pretty heavily to it through work. It's definitely a good cause and if shaving my head can help to raise some money for it, I'm all for it. Everyone at work is pushing to try to raise the $10,000 goal that we've set for ourselves. For those that don't make it to Elmer's for the event, I'll make sure to get some before and after shots of the group. Thanks again guys.

To the top for a good cause.

Thanks. Consider trying to make it for a few beers if you want too. It should be a good time. GixerJockey mentioned maybe making it an NESR get together for a few beers.

Anyone going to join us for a few beers?
Shane
If it's nice, I might not drink and ride to the event instead. Anyone in?
Shane
Hey guys. I will be posting photos of the event as soon as I get the photo CD we were all promised. The sister of one of the guy's I work with and her husband are both photographers so they came and took the pictures from the event. Just waiting for the copies to be burned for all of us that participated. It's going to take a little bit.
The event was great though. We managed to get not just New Britain EMS in on it, but the hospital and the New Britain Fire Department as well. Collectively we raised over $25,000 for the event. This far surpassed our goal of $10,000 and this will be becoming an annual event for us. It was definitely a great day had by all. Many thanks to all who contributed. It's appreciated.
