Anyone playing BF3 on the PC? I created a platoon called NewEnglandStreetRiders [NESR] just in case anyone here is interested.

compared to BF2 for PC back in 2005 it sucks.

Jets and Helis don't fly with precision and the map area for jets is tiny.

You can't get a view from the front without anything obscuring it.

No stinger missiles for heli's, no vertical takeoffs (F35s).

Bullet hit recognition is garbage

Constant connection issues trying to get into games

Graphics (ie characters and animation) looks dated (like pre Modern Warfare2)

The running animation with the head bob sucks

To add options to guns, the entire way of doing it makes it annoying.

Given that and the fact that I spend $63 dollars and didn't get it makes it suck.

Just beat the campaign on xbox. Was pretty sweet gameplay, story was ok, but I didn't expect to finish it so quick. Kind of disappointed that I beat it already... my xbox live subscription ran out a while back and I haven't renewed it, so there's not much more I can do with this game for the time being.

100% agree. I liked Battlefield 2 more.

Nothing about this game seems spectactular .

I've always been a fan of the game environments. Like how the bullets react when you shoot object, the enemy, etc..

The sound and power of the guns.

Its like exaggerating the environment geared towards combat.

Defiantely under impressed with BF3 for PC.

Can you recommend any FPS with the same type and feel of BF2 ?

I'm still getting used to BF3.
I still haven't got my joystick working properly so I can fly.

I am a huge fan of BF1942. I like flying that era of aircraft.
I wish they would make an updated version of it.

I don't really want realism. I want fun.

I enjoyed the Desert Combat mod for BF1942. Do that, but make the maps bigger, the FPS soldier firing more like CounterStrike and that would sell well.

Tried playing BF3 on PS3 last night - hated it. I love Bad Company 2. The game play in 3 is very different.

That's true. I hated Black Ops when I first played it because I got my ass handed to me, but then after awhile I got really good at it mainly because I am the definition of a camper . Almost every game has some type of difference that you have to get used to. It just sucks in the beginning.

Agreed. I've been playing BF3 for a few days (xbox) and I had to remember that with FPS's I have really really good and really really bad matches. Like my last KD's of 15-3 and 2-11 respectively LOL. Ultimately stupidity is what gets me killed, i.e. when I know that sniper has his/her sights on my head but I'm positive I can get the kill if I can juuuuuuust get that first shot off...

Or when I drive a vehicle at full speed into a flag capture area and jump out into a firefight.

It's stupid but fun as hell .

Yeah this game is more tactical than lets say MW, so I think people log in and do a lot of running around and end up getting picked off everytime.

And its true...some rounds you do good, others you do really really bad....but its a great game regardless.

And as far as flying planes and helicopters, its not suppose to be a flight simulator, they have a game for that!

I pre-ordered BF3 for Xbox and have only logged a couple hours.

I haven't played any previous BF, so I can't compare...but so far the campaign is pretty sweet and multi-player is great.

I just wanted something that was different than COD. Different style, different game-play, but still a modern FPS. I've owned every COD they have made - and it was time to jump off the band-wagon.

So far so good - BF3 will keep me away from MW3.

the single player has a horrible story and its sort of ripped off from black ops.

The multiplayer is somewhat fun, an adjustment from COD series, but right now the servers are junk and the game play is cheap at times. Its nice to play something new but over hyped in my opinion.

BF3 is the most bf-like game since BF2. I played BF2 way too much and BF3 feels great, the only thing I don't like is the unlock system, so that to be the most effective in vehicles you have to play with them a bunch.

i remember the first two battlefields on PC were pretty sicks.. single and multiplayer.. but its a been a few years since i played and i dont play shooting games on PS3 anyways

I love BF2142 and the Titan Mode. My current laptop video card cannot handle BF 3. I am waiting for cash to build up my first ever water cooled tower.

Right now my current 2007 MBP is just a Win 7 PC (Non bootcamp) with an Apple Shell. The 8600M Nvidia card is terribly slow, and will not pass the BF 3 bare min. specs.

If anybody is an experience water cooling installer for computers please send a pm.

add me.. i usually play assault class (75% of the time), recon (20%), engineer/support (5%) ... If you like playing as engineer, i have the SOFLAM in the recon class, which means you will get a lot of vehicle kills.

I'm pissed because my rocket launcher never works. I aim, pull the trigger, and then flinch. No RPG, rocket, nothing. I look like an epileptic in BDU's. Is this a bug or what?
