The Harbor Freight 3/8" wrench can be had for as little as $10 on sale and has a lifetime warranty, the Craftsman doesn't.
huh...the slickdeals thread recommends the HF one...
however, the NESR thread (somewhat) did not:

What's that line from Tommy Boy? I could take a dump in a box and mark it 'guaranteed', but it'd still be shit in a box.
My movie quoting skills have gone to hell.
HF is great for some things, but I would rather have this one @$40. So much that I picked one up on my way home.
In related news, Sears stores suck ass. It took me the woman 10 minutes to check me out.. and I had cash. I had to decline to give everything from my phone number to my pecker size. No wonder that place is one step away from going under.
I wish I could get a woman to spend 10 minutes checking me out.![]()
What's the difference between a bolt and a screw?
First you screw, then you bolt.
I figured the same...R7's post about "would you really trust a $10 tool on your bike?" got to me too...who knows if it'll make a difference, but this might be a "just buy the damn thing already" moment...and the other thing to remember, is you're effectively getting an $80 torque wrench here

There's a reason why better torque wrenches are more expensive. It's the being able to have the same reliable torque settings use after use. The cheaper styles might be good within a certain range but then may be off at the other ends.
Me no likey crash
I have two other Crapsman torque wrenches already; a 1/4" drive in in-lbs and a 1/2" drive with much higher ratings. This one rounds out my collection and will probably live in my track-day toolbox.
mine already came in handy...
torqued all the cylinder base and head nuts to 20 foot-lbs!
