    Engine test at 66

I completed my 66th orbit today and put the engine through a test run at the HS track.

    Mile 8:05
    800m 4:03
    400m 1:39
    200m 41.6
    100m 19.3

    3-4 min rest in between

Overall not terrible and no AED's were needed

I can only wish. But I have lost 65 lbs since I last saw you at Mt Washington a couple years ago. Don't think I could go a mile now, 100 yards maybe 5 minutes

hey! eight minute mile is great at 66. I've been losing weight without trying, my doc took me off 2 BP meds and change the 3rd to a milder one 115/68 is normal for me now, I'm coming up on 27,000 days old

If you’re not in the shape you want to be at 50, you won’t be doing an 8 minute mile at 66.

    Congrats, Steve!

No AED comment. That shit is real when you get over 64. You start to wonder if you are doing good or tearing up your shit. Seeing fit guys like Paul Duval have a cardiac episode had me slow my roll. I had a tachycardia episode just before my 63'd birthday last year. Working out at CrossFit and I was finishing before everyone. Bragging I yelled out, I only have 2 more rounds left. Then I felt my heart do something like a palpitation. I looked down and it was 170. I took a knee and checked it again, 194. That can't be right. I moved the apple watch to a good contact. HR was 204 and I was breathing like I was sprinting. No heart pain. Just could not get my HR down. HR was 210 on the review of my workout later in the ER. Ambulance called and they arrived and hooked me up to the EKG. Perfect sinus rhythm so they determined it was dehydration. While in the ambulance they had me hold my breathe and do a crunch with my diaphragm like I was blowing out. It worked. Heart rate dropped down into the 150's. As they gave me fluids in the ER I watched the HR drop down to normal slowing as the fluids went in.

Now I feel every twinge in my heart...

Almost all my runs are based on a specific HR range. When I exceed that range, I slow down. Basic base building is at about 130.

dehydration is one of my issues, I don't drink enough water, the phlebotomist are always chasing my veins when I have labs done, I have an aneurism in my aorta, hereditary, my doc orders an ultrasound every year, I've had a couple TIAs, lost my speech ability both times, came back in 10-12 hours both times
