They did... probably 10 years ago or so, they brought back Ren & Stimpy on MTV and tried to make it more edgy and adult. IMHO, it backfired. I didn't find the show that funny... it was like trying to make Sponge Bob for adults. The whole fun of it is that its light hearted and for kids.

Kricfalusi did the Adult Party Cartoon episodes too. He supposedly liked working on the adult episodes more because of the decreased level of censorship. They're all on the "Lost Episodes" DVD. They're okay, but the humor's a little out there compared to the Nickelodeon era. The "Naked Beach Frenzy" episode was, uh...well, it was different.

I didn't know John K. was involved with those. They just seemed too far out there for me. The originals seemed, to me anyways, to have that Warner Brothers smart ass kind of attitude, that kids wouldn't get, but adults would, with John K's twist added.

I think it'd be pretty damn sweet if they also came up with a new full-length Beavis and Butt-head movie. Not necessarily a sequel, just another idea for 90 minute episode...maybe a cameo by Mr. Anderson or the Old Woman.
