I never fucking bitch so here it is....
Our company was purchased by some big corporation and I god damn hate them. They are determined to make my life as fucking miserable as possible. For the past 2 months I have been working 70-80 hours a week taking work home after a 12 hour day and working in bed after I deal with the kids until 1 or 2 am. It is never enough. WTF???
Apparently if you own us, you can fuck with my employees and change the rules as you go along.....fuckers.

Yeah. I thought your car had broken down in your parking lot. It's ALWAYS there, whatever time I drive by.
duuuude, any job that wanted me working 70-80 hours a week would get my ass in their face

Next time a telemarketer calls... tell them what you really think
Vent away sounds like you deserve it!!
Have you thought about looking for a new job or at least addressing your issues with your current employer?
Holy shit! I'm just glad you're still alive. I was starting to miss you...

I literally can barely see....my eyes are burning so bad it is like I just did 700 miles on my bike with no eye protection
There is a light at the end of the tunnel....I just hope it is not a train.
And no, looking for a new job is not what I want. This is a hurdle not a plateau.
You just need some Tequila and a day to sleep it off![]()
That sucks Jane!I have to say I'm pretty disgusted with big corporations myself right now, but I've got the opposite problem of you. I hope you’re able to work things out at your job or find a position that is more suitable. Good luck!
With the kids it's gotta be quite a challenge doing "the routine" week after week.
Are you salary? Is that why 70-80 hrs a week sucks?
If you're not salary, save that loot you're making and treat yourself to something nice once this passes...![]()
Hang in there, Jane! Seems no matter which end of the spectrum you're swinging from, things are tough. It's either sink or swim for a lot of us, all or none right now. Hopefully, shit'll work out...
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
Sorry
It will be hard but time to move on.
MY friend who eventually left Stanley had the same sh*t . They just kept piling stuff on then told him he no longer qualified for overtime pay.
He still put in almost 50 hours but after prioritizing things logically some things just did not get done. They accepted that but he found another job in a couple of months. It was obvious the new guys were ridiciulous dick heads and they were not going to change.

Stanley is in a boatload of trouble. They are one of my main customers, and they have been laying off like CRAZY. Went from 3 shifts to 1 4 day a week shift in their plant here in RI
Salary.com is your friend. Do your research. Pull your boss aside. Show him what you should be making + whatever your new role is for taking on all the extra work. Show him all the extra hours you've been working, the projects you've been championing and make your case. Let him know that you're sure he has already been noticing all the extra effort you've been putting in, the work you've been taking home and request 2-3 direct reports to help delegate and spend more time with your kids.
Let me know if I can help. I'm pretty well versed in this.
Fitz
That's complete horse shit!!! I wouldn't do the extra time if I wasn't getting paid!Salary
Had I been hourly, I would be rolling in it!!

That's why I wonder - What sucks more- Stuck in a job/ company you hate or not being employed at all. Ask me - the later sucks more. Companies know it and thats why they take undue advantage of situations and make you work so much.
All the best. May this just be a passing phase
