I had some kids in a Lexus throw things at me in Peabody. Looked like their Mom's car and I would mind having a conversation about the actions of her child while driving her car. Any way to get the info based on a plate number?

What is with today? I went and saw District 9 and when getting onto the highway I went to pass this car with two kids in it and they swerved and cut me off. So I moved to the right lane and got by them as I wasn't about to deal with that. I go by and they mash it, get next to me and throw a glass bottle at my car! I cannot even comprehend why someone would do this.

I'm sure they were totally unprovoked, but that's beside the point.

PM's will go out when I get home. It's written down at my house.
I actually did not provoke it. It was was weird and not dangerous. They were basically throwing trash at me. Nothing hard or heavy, if that were the case this would be a raise legal defense money thread. :-)

Maybe they were just throwing trash out and you happened to be there. I can honestly say that a lot of people my age that I went to school with have absolutely no consideration for pretty much anything.
They may not have even thought to look before they throw trash out of a moving car, let alone to think about doing it.
They knew I was there and it was thrown in my direction.

The normal thing to do is file a police report. They will talk to her, and her kid will likely get their wii taken away for a month.

They are my kids, you would not believe how long they drove around before they finally found you! anywho i gave them the promised $10 a piece. It was supposed to be $20 but since you spilled the beans that they did not throw anything heavy i cut it in half. They are pissed by the way, trying to do you a favor and all and then you screw em'. if you would like to talk about their actions please PM me with your thoughts and locations and times of future rides.![]()

If you run into a wall with a helmet on, you still ran into a wall.
Next time follow them home. I've done it, they called mommy on the way and she was waiting out front because they were scared shitless. She started out with 'what the hell do you think you're doing following my kids' and changed her tone real quick after the kids ran into the house and hid and she heard what was going on. And if mommy isn't home, it's nerd bashing time.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?

No need for fighting, especially in a town where I am technically a public servant. Not to mention they took off at a very high rate of speed and I wanted nothing to do with them wrecking the car and either taking me with them or me getting in trouble for chasing them. Not worth it.
It can and will be handled in an respectful manner until the time comes to be disrespectful. That time has not and does not have to come.

lol It does seem cheese ball now that I reread it. Didn't mean that one bit. Just saying I'd rather it stay respectful.

I had a situation where I wanted to do the same. Just a few miles from my house returning from a Patriots game. My wife was in the car and had none of that. I still remember the plate but have yet to come across them again.

So, here's a story... I once had a guy in an SUV intentionally push me out of my lane in Cambridge (I was on the bike) Seemed he was trying to be a tough guy and prove a point about merging... sadly I was merging correctly, falling in behind the guy that i let go... just like the teeth of a zipper... pretty easy concept. Anyway, evidently this guy doesn't get it... he swerves around me and intentionally turns into my lane with me still in it. The way it was done made it clear that if I didn't swerve like it was my ass, it was in fact going to be my ass.
Well, dude has vanity plates and an orange fucking SUV... not exactly inconspicuous. Well, wouldn't you know I come across his car parked on a dark side street several weeks later. What did I do? Nothing. I took a camera phone pic and emailed it to my wife with a smile... that's it. I meet assholes every single day. If I needed to settle every score I'd be in jail. Let it slide, man. You'll be better off.
It's not about settling a score, it's about letting a parent know they're kids are acting like dick bags in their very expensive car. I have no intention of causing harm or damage to any one or anything. But if I were a parent I would want to find about the crap my kids were pulling especially if they were putting their life, the lives of others and the financial health of myself in danger.
This wouldn't be the first time I ruined a kid’s month by speaking to a parent about the behavior of their children. People every day complain about kids/punks/hooligans but rarely ever tell parents and give them a chance to fix the situation. If the situation was different and I could prove damage or anything for that matter I'd have pulled over and dialed 911 or rode right to the cop shack. Letting children get away with crap does nothing to help turn "crazy kids" into good adults.
