Figured it was only a matter of time before this came out. For $80 its not a bad deal either, about the same as what a chesty and case would cost for the GoPro. It doesn't look like it'll protect the phone as well as more expensive options though.

Other mounting points/options would be handy.

i have the 4 and the 4S it doesnt have such a wide angle and it just looks as too good of quality. Unless its through an app? and I cant even picture how the phone stays so steady.. I could be wrong but I have taken a lot videos with both phones and cant compare to the gopro.
especially the scenes from the club cannot be real.. iphone camera is really bad when theres lack of light..

interesting.. like I said I could be wrong I was going 100% of how the phone records on its own.. if its real its pretty sick but still if you wanna be realistic a 4S 16GB is 649.99+ taxes. thats 3 GoPros

Yeah, but I already own an iPhone. Don't own a go-pro.

With insurance $80 replaces my iPhone. No insurance on my GoPro.

I personally need double duty though...multiple mounts is a must, and potential damage risk is high on dirtybike with all the crashing...

Nope, Might be high res 1080p, but that doesn't guarantee the picture quality is any good. And that looked like dog piss compared to GoPro results.

My wife dropped her iPhone 4 with a shitty case two weeks ago, smashed the screen.

I replaced it for $32. Looks great.

Insurance is a waste at those prices.

cant believe i havent smashed mine yet, those cheap cases actually do work. i'm using the ifrogz thin one, dropped it on hard tile twice.

I drop my skinned iphone all the damned time. Just did it 20 min ago daydreaming in a meeting. Dropped it once from ~chest height onto concrete at a home center. Can't believe it isn't smashed to bits yet.

nice. i had never heard of this kind of technology before.

my old Nokia (remember the first real small ones?) went through the wash by accident and came out working better the screens used to start failing. i took it apart, let it dry, screen was perfect again.

Pretty much any piece of electronics can be dunked in water for short periods of time and still work if properly dried.

I actually know a lot of people that wash their video cards under tap water to clean them off.

DI is preferred. Shit, just about every piece of electronics manufactured uses DI throughout the whole process. The problems are operation when wet and corrosion.
