Dragged

I had a fun new first yesterday. All of us from Loon went down to another riding stable for a ride, to see there horses and to have some fun. They ride through open fields, unlike us who ride in the woods.

Well, some people were having too much fun, and decided to play jousting. Beth's horse followed along and ended up in the tangle. I ended up falling off of my horse....but my right foot got caught in the stirrup, so I got dragged about 10 feet.

I was totally calm during this entire ordeal. Being dragged across the grass, realizing that my foot was caught, I thought to myself "how can I get my foot out?" I needed leverage. So I lifted my body off the ground to take weight off of my foot, and it luckily came out.

So today I am sore. My left shoulder, my abs, things like that. Nothing broke but my cell phone. Oh well.

I was actaully smiling and laughing through the incident. Wahoo.

Thats the good way to get thrown from the saddle, glad your ok, could have been seriously hurt!

So I take it you did not make a clicking noise to the horse to make him stop! They know what that means ya know! A least it works in the movies!!
