Miller Vs. Lincoln

So, I'm in the market for a TIG welder...
I've used a bunch of Lincoln stuff in the past (PowerMIG 255, Precision TIG 275) and have had good experiences with all of it... just wondering if you guys have experiences or preferences you'd like to share.

I'm currently torn between these:

Lincoln Precision TIG 275

Miller Syncrowave 250DX

I'd be to have either one.

I have very little TIG experience but I have used the Miller 350DX which is the next size up from the 250DX. The Lift-Arc feature is great if you are welding something very small as you can leave the tip in contact with the surface you want to weld, drop your shield, and simply pull the torch away and the arc will start exactly where you want it to.

As far as the Lincon TIG welders, I have never used them but I have several mechanic friends have nothing but good things to say about them. I also heard one of them say that the Lincoln is particularly good for welding very thin materials.

All in all, I don't think you can go wrong with either of them. I would gladly use either. Just make sure your electrical service can handle their current draw!

That's a good point. I know the Lincoln needs a little under 100 amps at full blast... doubt I'lll ever be welding at those settings, though. Either way, I had already planned to pull some 6AWG sometime this week. Maaaan, I wish I had a 600amp 3-phase service...
