The best was 1968 1/2 428 Cobrajet. Invented by Tasca Ford when told the motor could not fit. They showed the factory how to do it. Rated 335HP BTW.

That is what I am talking about but a street version. I saw an all black '10 and it had a forward facing hood scoop and Boss 302 stickers on it. Just wondering if it's legit or a sticker job. I don't think it is from the newer Shinoda owners.

My dad had a 68 428.

if it had a 428, it wasn't a Boss 302

and btw, Carroll Shelby put a 428 in a mustang in 67

That SOHC had a timing chain that was about 7 feet long... By far my favorite Engine

That pile of firebird would smoke a lot more than a mustang, I just don't have the time/desire to do it. Shit, I haven't ridden my bike in a couple weeks.

I've seen the street version you're talking about.
I think it's a dealer option and it's a shaker hood with stickers and that's about it.
Call Muzi Ford in Needham/Newton MA. and ask them.

I had a 2003 Mustang Cobra with 483 RWHP and 450 ft/lbs of torque that romped LS1 camaros and firebirds all day long. Supercharged from the factory with 390hp/390tq stock. pulley and some other go fast parts and it ran a best of 12.1 (6-speed manual) up at Epping (i forget my RT) on stock michillin F-1 tires. If I put drag radials or slicks on that thing it would have been in the 11's easy.

The 2003-2004 Cobras were beasts.

I also have NX stuff in there too so you are wrong again tubby!

That is a fine choice and I support it. I like all power adders and turbos the most but that isn't to say nitrous is cheating. That's just dumb.

they have 7 second "street" cars now. all done with turbo's. dial the boost down and drive to the store.

mondo put a blower on a 4th gen camaro/firebird then see what happens. you can't compare a forced induction car to a normaly aspirated car unless the cubic inches are way off. i.e turbo civic vs big v8
