hey all... tech savvy question.
There were a bunch of people over my house yesterday, including a number of kids. Well, it looks like they were fooling around on the internet ( I have Adelphia ), and now I have a virus. After some frustrating searching yesterday, I've located a file that can not be deleted. It's the exe32 virus ( I believe to be a Trojan ). A few of things have happened.
1). My Printer is not recognized any longer
2). I can not get online at all.
3). The homepage, within internet explorer properties defaults to c:\windows32 instead of www.msn.com ( can not change it back )
So, here's my question.. How can I get rid of it?
Thanks!
Joel
I'm sure it's not a simple answer.
You can go to Symantec's security page and try to find out how to remove it.
Usually they give you a list of steps to remove it without having an Antivirus program.
There are lots of viruses, so you'll have to figure out which one it is.
This is the first one I found. (It might not be the right one)
W32.Yaha.AF@mm virus
The steps to remove it might be pretty advanced, you might want to ask for help if you don't understand the steps.

thanks for the quick response Ben. I may check Best Buy as well to see if there are any software packages that will take care of it.
It seems as though Adelphia, although awesome for speed, is notorious for NOT being secure.
